Hi, I’m Abbegail
Abbegail Eason, a holistic coach and registered nurse and I help professionals become more resilient and practice compassionate self-care.
I have always felt that nursing is a vocation, not a job. The same is true with holistic coaching. It is the perfect marriage of my years as a nurse, my connection to something greater, and my own inner knowing.
A Holistic Approach
Through Holistic Nurse Coach training with Linda Bark’s Wisdom of the Whole Coaching Academy, I have developed a holistic and integral approach to coaching in adherence with the standards of the International Coaching Federation and the American Holistic Nurse’s Association. By adhering to professional standards, I set the foundation for a relationship based on trust and pure presence. I will empower you to change your story using powerful questions. You will gain a new awareness of your situation, set goals and maintain them.
Using my wisdom and experience, I will empower you to take the first steps on your journey to Wellbeing.
I’ve gained valuable, life-changing experience during my challenging and ultimately beautiful journey.
A little background…
After an exciting career as a trauma nurse and organ procurement coordinator, I chose the path less traveled and in 2003 took a position as the nurse on the biggest privately-owned yacht in the world. During that time, I experienced travel and adventures, learned a lot about myself, and ended up living in Italy at a 400-year old villa just outside Siena.
While living in Italy for 11 years, I learned a thing or two about La Dolce Vita, the good life. This concept is key to a life of balance, health, happiness, and wellbeing. It’s about slowing down and enjoying the little things that we often take for granted.
Many of us are too busy to listen to our inner wisdom, working too much to relax, and never take the time to slow down. Even on vacations, so many rush around trying to make the most of their precious time off.
Not all Under the Tuscan sun
It wasn’t all wine, gorgeous villas and mouth-watering food though, for 8 of those years I worked as a Traumatic Brain Injury Nurse Educator contracted for the US Army at their base in Vicenza, Italy. During those 8 years, I professionally grew and was challenged more than I ever was as an intensive care nurse or a procurement coordinator. I was in awe that our service members risk everything for so little in return, frustrated with the bureaucracy of Big Army, and continually inspired by the resilience of our nation’s warriors. At the same time, my own self-care suffered. I experienced burn-out, a major depressive episode which left me suicidal, as well as anxiety. I had to learn how to listen to my own advice. I did, and now I want to help others do the same.
As a holistic coach, it is my desire to help you on your healing journey, to help you listen to your inner voice and gracefully move through whatever life throws your way.
